Reiner Krukenberg WIP & New Stretch Goals
about 5 years ago – Sat, Mar 23, 2019 at 09:32:32 PM

Hey folks! A short update this time as Nana and I have a busy Saturday! But we wanted to show all of you the WIP pictures from Sonny of Reiner Krukenberg!

This guy is probably the most "Non-townsfolk" character in the Dunkeldorf line of miniatures so far, and I can easily see him being used as a regular Empire Captain for Warhammer, or a Warband leader for Mordheim and undoubtedly for many other things as well!

Even though Reiner is not an official part of the Dunkeldorf Watch (He's the Captain of Herman's own little private army of guards) he still wears the same plate armour design as Haelga Grimdottir, who's the real Captain of the Watch.

Stretch Goals

We have unlocked 2 new Stretch Goals - The Crone's Cauldron and Wilhelm's Rapier are now included with both the Villager & Noble Pledges.

2 new Stretch Goals have been added. The Parchments Add-on (More will be revealed about this pack later on) and Littleton's Coin Pouch.

Leopold, The Ogre Bouncer

Sonny has made quite a bit of progress on Leopold, so we'll be able to show you guys some WIP pictures of him within a couple of days along with the price for the Add-on :)

That's it for this time! Have a lovely weekend and we'll be back with another update soon :)

The Prancing Peacock, Littleton & Floria
about 5 years ago – Fri, Mar 22, 2019 at 03:16:50 AM

Stella Kaufmann has been unlocked! Which means that the Noble Pledge now includes a total of 16 characters, 12 accessories (Including 2 animals) and 12 miniature posters! And there's still more Stretch Goals to be unlocked and more that we haven't revealed yet!

Thanks again to all of you for giving the Dunkeldorf line of miniatures such a great start! We can't express how grateful we are :)

But! On to business, below you can read a bit about Littleton Proudcock and Floria. And at the end of the update there's a WIP picture from Sonny of a certain barrel containing some delicious wieners.

Littleton Proudcock

Littleton Proudcock or more commonly known as Peacock among his friends and patrons is the most successful halfling in Dunkeldorf. He's also a very sought after bachelor, even among humans and dwarves.

Littleton is the proprietor of The Prancing Peacock, the only tavern in town that exclusively sells the widely popular and locally brewed "Moon Ale" all year round.

Peacock has a reputation of being able to charm any woman he sets his eyes on, and this is despite the fact that smoking tobacco from his own hand crafted wooden pipe since the age of 11 has resulted in his teeth being quite yellowed!

But for those he woo, it's just a minor distraction from his adorable loving eyes, his wavy curly hair, his charming wits and his incredible sense of fashion. And though his teeth might be yellow, he still has all of them, along with a smile that can cheer up even the saddest person to waltz into The Prancing Peacock.

Nana quickly decided that she wanted to paint Littleton in a peacock theme. (The little pouch on his back holds his tobacco!)

With the Moon Festival just around the corner, Littleton and his staff is hard at work preparing for their busiest time of the year. But little does he know that this year's festival will be unlike any of the others that came before....

Littleton and his stool comes separately, so it's easy to put him on a base instead of the stool if you wish!

Floria the Courtesan

The courtesan stood at the end of the bar in The Prancing Peacock, took another sip of her expensive wine and continued to observe the room for a potential client. And not just any client, a rich one, and with a bit of luck, a rich, drunk one.

Floria's hunt was suddenly interrupted as a drunken gambler staggered up to her and placed his hand firmly on her behind. "Well hello there honey ... Such a fine looking gal shouldn't be drinking alone. How bout' we find a room and have a drink together upstairs?" the gambler said with a sly smile and a wink, his breath stinking of cheap tobacco and even cheaper whiskey...

In the blink of an eye, the courtesan had drawn an ornate dagger hidden beneath her dress and had it at the gambler's throat. "Listen “honey”, I'm busy... and honestly... I am fairly certain that you can't afford what I'm selling..."

The courtesan grabbed the man's coinpurse and looked through it, all the while holding the dagger to his throat. She chuckled, "Oh dear... Rough night at the tables was it?"

"Well, I'll just take half of this as an apology for your rude behaviour and for touching me without my permission."

"Now, if you're looking for some action within your current price range, I suggest you seek out Toothless Tilda down at the docks... Now piss off before you get hurt."

Floria winked at Littleton the halfling innkeeper standing behind the bar, who smiled back and then casually gestured to Leopold, the huge ogre bouncer standing at the entrance. The ogre ran towards the gambler at full speed, with a goofy yet menacing grin on his face. "You out now!" The ogre yelled as he picked the gambler up with one arm and tossed him out onto the streets.

The regulars at The Prancing Peacock knew better than to mess with Floria. She and Littleton were known to be business partners, and not all their schemes were on the right side of the law....

Gowak's Wieners (WIP)

Sonny just sent a picture of Gowak's Wieners - It's pretty close to being finished. I think it's mainly missing a couple of rivets and such on the barrel straps!

Phew, long update, I hope you got to the end! In the next update we'll show the sculpt of Reiner Krukenberg - Nana and I really like this one so we can't wait to show him to you :D

New Stretch Goals
about 5 years ago – Thu, Mar 21, 2019 at 07:20:08 AM

The Stretch Goals have been updated! Reiner's Pug and Gowak's Cleaver are now unlocked!

So, 2 new Stretch Goals are up. The first one is Ludmilla's Cat "Colette" and the second one is Herman's manservant "Linus Witzner" both of these are free for the Noble Pledge, while Colette is free for both Noble & Villager pledges.

Linus Witzner's name is based on a dear friend of ours "Lina Witzner" who has been a great help, with tips, feedback and moral support for the Dunkeldorf project since we started almost 7 months ago! Lina also got the honor of actually being the very first person to back the Dunkeldorf Kickstarter (Backer #1)!

So here you go Lina, we thank you by immortalizing you as Herman's slightly grumpy manservant "Linus Witzner" enjoy! ;)

Bull the Cat & The von Struttendorfs
about 5 years ago – Tue, Mar 19, 2019 at 01:33:53 AM

Bertha & Bull

Nana recently painted up Bertha's cat "Bull" - And when you compare Bull's size to Bertha's, it's really no coincidence that she named the large cat "Bull".

Bull always travels together with Bertha, so he's a pretty dirty and smelly cat, they do hunt rats in the Dunkeldorf sewers after all. Nana went for a dark colour scheme for him (To match the description from Bertha's story), but she's really looking forward to trying some different colours as well. We can't wait to see how other people decide to paint their versions of Bull!

Nana is currently working on a little sewer diorama with Bertha & Bull, we'll post it as soon as it's finished!

Ludmilla & Wilhelm von Struttendorf

The von Struttendorf family is the wealthiest and probably most influential in Dunkeldorf. As the owners of the extremely successful coaching line "Winged Serpent Express" they have established a direct network to many other towns, which they use to their advantage.

The von Struttendorf family is a big part of the Dunkeldorf Coat of Arms as seen below. The left sword with the scaly hilt is the von Struttendorf family sword. The lower left side of the shield, a snake wrapped around a spoke wheel symbolizes the family's "Winged Serpent Express" coaching line.

Ludmilla is married to Otto von Struttendorf the patriach of the family. Together they have a son and a daughter "Wilhelm & Dorothea".

Both Wilhelm and Dorothea are arrogant noble brats, but Wilhelm wins the crown and generally reflects poorly on the von Struttendorf name, though without any consequences so far.

Wilhelm early on got used to only the best, rarest, finest and most expensive things in life. His latest daily habit consists of drinking 1 or sometimes 2 bottles of "Chateau Saint-d'Agèrta Lafileau" a wine so expensive that the price per bottle could easily keep 5 large Dunkeldorfian families fed for an entire month.

Wilhelm's sister Dorothea, or Dotty as she is called by her friends and family, usually makes sure that both of them attend the best parties and events in Dunkeldorf.

But as she has been out of town for several weeks, Wilhelm has grown increasingly bored. And out boredom, he has started taking an interest in a "Secret society" of socialites frequently having meetings in Dunkeldorf.

Unbeknownst to Wilhelm, he is getting involved in something much bigger (And sinister) than he ever anticipated. And he may just end up playing a role in the potential downfall of Dunkeldorf.

Speaking of von Struttendorf's and cats.. The next Stretch Goal we'll reveal will be of Ludmilla's cat "Colette". And while Bull is a dirty sewer cat, Colette is the exact opposite!

Gowak Sculpt & New Stretch Goals
about 5 years ago – Sun, Mar 17, 2019 at 06:32:02 PM

Hi folks! Busy day for us, getting the new Stretch Goals up. But before moving on to more exciting things, we wanted to let you know that we're working on getting the prices for the Notice Board and the newly unlocked Ogre Bouncer "Leopold" - We'll get them up as soon as possible.

First we wanted to show you the finished model of Gowak the Dwarven Butcher. Sonny finished him a couple of days ago, and he turned out awesome!

Below you can see several angles of the Gowak miniature.

New Stretch Goals

4 new Stretch Goals have been added! 6x new miniature posters, Gowak's Cleaver, Reiner's Pug & Stella Kaufmann a young, savvy merchant.

Reiner's Pug

We wanted to give this little fella a special mention, as it's based on me and Nana's pug. So in case you're thinking that the dog is sitting weird, it's actually pretty normal! We can't wait to see the sculpt from Sonny. And no pressure Sonny, but we have high expectations since the last animal you did for Dunkeldorf turned out so great! :-D

And that's it for now. Thanks again everybody for the support, we're so excited that we hit the 100.000 DKK mark and we hope that we can continue to push through the Stretch Goals!
