Latest Updates from Our Project:

The Dunkeldorf Notice Board (Add-On)
about 5 years ago – Sun, Mar 17, 2019 at 06:31:10 PM

This update is all about the "Dunkeldorf Notice Board" which is available as an Add-on!

If you're interested in the Notice Board, you can increase your pledge by 70 DKK (Approximately 9,5 EUR / 11 USD) - The Notice Board will be cast in resin as a single cast to keep the price down. But I would definitely say that you can cut it off the "Base" if you want to create your own scenic base for it.

Remember that we will be using a "Pledge Manager" after the Kickstarter has ended. In the Pledge Manager you'll be able to purchase our add-ons as well. But if you want to help unlock more Stretch Goals, go right ahead and increase your pledge!

This is how the front and backside of the Notice Board looks without any posters on it. We have the Dunkeldorf Miniature Posters that can be put on The Notice Board, and we are planning on releasing a set of resin parchments as well, for those who would rather paint the posters.

Earlier today we printed out the Stretch Goal posters as seen below and put them on the Notice Board to show you how it could look.

And here's a little scene showing how it turned out with the posters on the Notice Board!

I wanted to mention that the pike on Bertha's back is not included on the final miniature. The miniature used in these pictures is an early version of her, we decided to remove it for casting purposes.

The Resin Parchments

Here you can see our ideas for the resin parchments. They can be placed on the Notice Board or other scenery. We are also planning on making some versions without the nails to be used on tables and such.

These are not guaranteed to become available yet, so we can't promise anything, but hopefully you'll get to see them!

That's it for today! The next update will be focusing on the greatest Dunkeldorfian of them all! The glorious, handsome, intelligent, wealthy, well-liked Burgomeister of Dunkeldorf "Herman Geizhals".

Erika Schmidt & More
about 5 years ago – Mon, Mar 11, 2019 at 02:07:27 PM

Hope you're all having a swell Monday! We just unlocked Floria's Dagger and Leopold The Ogre Bouncer has just barely been unlocked as I'm writing this update! He'll be "officially" unlocked tomorrow.

Ben Shaw from Beasts of War just wrote a little something about the Dunkeldorf Kickstarter - Thanks Ben! Click here to check it out and get your daily hobby news fix as well, while you're at it!

Erika Schmidt, the Blacksmith's Apprentice

But now it's all about Erika Schmidt! She's not the happiest Dunkeldorf denizen. After she was recently injured in combat, she's stuck in a smithy in Dunkeldorf, working the anvil all day long.

The sound of a hammer hitting an anvil rang out over and over through the modest blacksmith’s workshop only to be interrupted by the occasional curse and rant from Erika Schmidt, the newly appointed blacksmith’s apprentice currently hammering on the anvil.

“Gods be damned! Is this stupid contraption making my leg better or worse??!!” Erika shouted out as she paused to rub her leg.

In truth, it wasn’t her injured leg that was aggravating Erika.. Not long ago, she was a soldier – serving in the finest Zweihander regiment in the region. But after almost losing her leg in combat, she was forced to retire and return to Dunkeldorf where she was born and raised.

And now here she is, stuck in a smithy along with her brother, hammering on an anvil all day long while all she longs for is to swing her trusty zweihander in combat just one more time.

“Snap out of it sister… Father would’ve been proud to see us working together, remember that. Now, why don’t you be a good lass and 'hop' over there and fetch me that mug of water?” Her brother said with a cheeky grin on his face.

“Get your own damn mug of water! I might be your apprentice but I’m not your servant“ Erika shouted back.

“Well, I know what you’re thinking about sister.. But you must accept that you won’t be doing any fighting anytime soon. Although… I have heard that our dear Burgomeister is looking for new guards. You could experience some serious Dunkeldorf action, like beating up drunks and hunting down smugglers and thieves. “

“Yea… no thanks. I’d rather have both my legs hacked off with a rusty axe than work for that fat, obnoxious bastard.. But then again, perhaps it would be preferable to working for my annoying little brother.. ”

Her brother smiled, “Well, that’s the only sort of combat you’ll experience here in Dunkeldorf, so how about just accepting that this is your fate now and perhaps pass me that mug of water over there?“

Erika ignored him and started hammering on the anvil again, her thoughts once more wandering to her beloved zweihander, safely tucked away at home.

That's it for today! We'll be back tomorrow with the unlocked and new Stretch Goals, along with pictures of the finished sculpt of Gowak, the joyful dwarven butcher!

Stretch Goal Sculpts!
about 5 years ago – Sun, Mar 10, 2019 at 09:01:09 PM

We have some finished accessories that we want to show you all! These are some of the Stretch Goal accessories that are free for all Noble & Villager Pledges. All these accessories are currently planned to be cast in metal, just like the Dunkeldorf Miniatures.

Below you can see Bertha's Cat "Bull", Erika's Anvil, Wurt's Chopping Block, Eva's Lockbox & Herman's Feast.

Here you can see how the artwork compares to the sculpts.

And below you can see Wurt next to his Chopping Block. Sonny included Wurt's wooden talisman hanging from a little branch, and the engraved face in the actual chopping block - Making the chopping block more unique and in theme with Wurt's talisman theme.

Since it's Sunday, Nana and I are taking a break for the rest of the day. So we'll not be checking comments much today - We'll be back tomorrow, where any unlocked Stretch Goals will be updated as well. Have a lovely Sunday!

PS. Nana is working on a little sewer diorama with Bertha and Bull and it should be ready within a couple of days!
